QUOTE

Quote is one of the things which encourages us when we get tired or are struggling. 

僕らが疲れた時やもがいている時、名言は元気をくれると思います。

One day I got an idea that students can learn not only English but also a life through a quote in English.

英語の名言を使ったら、英語だけでなく人生の勉強もできるなぁとある時ふと思いつきました。

So I created an activity called "today's quote".

ということで、「今日の名言」という活動を生み出しました。

In the beginning of my class, One of the students presents about the quote they got impressed. 

授業の最初に、生徒が、その子にとっての印象深い名言をプレゼンします。

After the presentation, other students or I ask a question about the quote frankly.

そのあと、他の人や僕からの質問タイム。

I feel this activity is very interesting because students can tell what they really want to tell in English.

この活動は生徒の本当に伝えたい事を英語で伝える練習になるので、すごく面白いと思います。

If I can expand the contents of what they talked, their opportunities of the meaningful input and output will be assured.

もし僕がうまく話を広げられたら、意味のあるインプットとアウトプットの機会も保障されます。

It's very challenging for me because this is the time I am tested as a language teacher.

僕にとっては、言語教師として試される時間になるので、難しくはありますが。。。

When I had this activity at the OPEN class where about 100 teachers came, a lot of them gave me good feedbacks about this activity. Now I would like to recommend every teacher.
